At Teach For China, we believe that education inequity can and must be solved. With the help of talented and passionate young leaders from China and the US, we can close the achievement gap that leaves millions of Chinese children behind every year.

The need for Teach For China is clear: In high-poverty communities across China, classrooms are overcrowded, teachers are undertrained, and students are falling behind with little chance of receiving the education they need to improve their life circumstances.

To meet this need, Teach For China recruits and trains the most talented and dedicated young leaders from China and the US. We work with government partners to identify schools in need of teachers and then we place our Fellows in low-income schools as full-time educators for two years. We support Fellows to become effective leaders who can profoundly change their students’ life prospects, and continue to impact educational equity as alumni.
